Its surely raining modified cars and bikes at Motoroids India and of course, we are more than happy to feature all these exciting models on our pages here. Hardly a couple of hours after we posted about a tastefully modified Royal Enfield Thunderbird bobber, our friend Ashwin Viswanathan has sent us images and details of his own creation, which is a modified Yamaha RX100 that seems exciting enough to be featured here. Now, we’ve been always quite fond of these two stroke models, which belong to an era gone by, and to see a ‘souped-up’ two stroke bike, complete with several small but effective performance mods and a stealth look leaves us quite excited.

This modified Yamaha RX100 started life as yet another 1989 model, which remained in a stock condition for a large part of its life. Now however, it sports many modifications that not just make it all the more fun to ride, but also make it have a unique identity of its own. These modifications include-

  • New front forks sourced from a Bajaj Pulsar
  • A front disc brake setup from a Bajaj Pulsar
  • Aluminum clip on handle bats
  • Gas charged rear shock absorber, again coming from a Bajaj Pulsar
  • Performance Exhaust
  • Engine Robored by 1mm
  • Michelin tires

Talking about his creation, Ashwin says,”This bike was my first build. My first try at custom bike fabrication. Its been such a great time building it and I intend to keep building custom bikes like this one. A new found passion that it going to last a lifetime for me. Couldn’t have picked a better bike or a better concept than this one.
