Maruti Suzuki has been working on two new products which are likely to be launched in India by the end of the year. These two products, including the Ciaz facelift and the Ertiga, have been spied during public road tests on multiple occasions. Recently, the interiors of the Ciaz facelift were leaked on the web.
Now, another set of images surfaced online reveal the interior of the upcoming Ertiga facelift. Inside, the facelifted Ertiga is similar to that of the Indonesian-spec model which was unveiled earlier this year, and comes equipped with a start-stop button, climate control and wood inserts for the door panels. Another feature seen in the spy image is the automatic transmission which is likely to be carried over from the outgoing model.
Upon launch, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift is likely to be offered with a new 1.5-litre petrol engine that has been developed in-house by the company. Apart from the new petrol engine, Maruti Suzuki will also offer the 1.3-litre Fiat sourced Multijet diesel engine, which will later make way for an all new 1.5-litre diesel motor. Transmission options on the upcoming Ertiga facelift could include a six speed manual transmission and a four speed automatic transmission.
To be based on the Heartect platform which currently underpins the current generation of the Swift and Swift Dzire, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift will come with a host of visual updates to the exterior. As seen on the Indonesian-spec Ertiga, the India-spec model is expected to come equipped with a new front bumper with new fog lamps, new chrome grille, projector headlamps, LED tail lights, high mounted stop lamp and new alloy wheels.
