It was almost a year back, when speculation arose that TVS Apache 250 launch in India could happen in early 2014 (CLICK HERE for this report). However, these rumors were quick to vanish in thin air, with the bike maker being busy with launching one product after another in the lower segments of Indian two wheelers industry. Last week, it emerged that Hosur based South Indian bike maker TVS will launch the highly awaited TVS Apache New Model towards the end of this year (CLICK HERE to read this report). Now, a fresh report on this subject states that the upcoming model could be powered by a 250cc engine and hence, the TVS Apache 250 launch might not too far from us.

With the launch of the 250cc variant, the Apache line up of bikes would have three engine variants to boast of. Currently, the bike available in 160cc and 180cc engine variants. CLICK HERE to read our TVS Apache RTR 180 Review.

Speculations have been abounding that Vinay Harne, head of New Product Development for TVS, has said that the TVS Apache New Model will feature some of the design cues that were seen on the Draken concept, which was showcased earlier this year at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014.

Worth a mention here is that TVS Apache brand of bikes is easily among the most loved bike brands today. The TVS Apache brand has already made a name for itself for its rev happy engines and track-honed handling manners. The bike has been doing fairly well on the sales charts and have even managed to threaten rivals like the Bajaj Pulsar in many markets of our country. The advent of bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS though, have ensured that the Apache series is suddenly looking a bit dated. Hence, it will now be interesting to see if the TVS Apache 250cc launch would inject the much needed freshness into the aging brand and revive its great sales performance.
