New Bajaj Avenger pre-launch website goes LIVE

Bajaj Avenger Teaser

The Bajaj Avenger pre-launch website, with a countdown timer, has gone LIVE as the updated cruiser from the Indian two-wheeler maker nears its launch date, scheduled on October 27, 2015. Bajaj has remained tight-lipped about any further details about the upcoming motorcycle or the variants that would be offered for the Indian market. However, earlier reports indicate that the Bajaj’s updated product portfolio will comprise of three motorcycles – the Avenger 220 Street, Avenger 220 Cruise and the Avenger 150 – post the October 27 event. While the Avenger 220 Cruise and Avenger 220 Street were spotted on several occasions, we are yet to see the 150cc variant.

As we reported earlier, the upcoming Avenger 220 duo will most likely to be a cosmetically updated version of the current generation cruiser while the mechanical specifications are likely to remain unchanged. In its new form, the Avenger 220 Cruise will drop its mono-tone paint job and will receive new set of graphics, a chrome badge on the fuel tank and the 220 Cruise tag on the side panels. The Street 220, on the other hand, will shed away most of the chrome bits and will come draped in an all black matte finish paint job accompanied by new graphics on the tank and on the side panels.

We are yet to see the rumoured Bajaj Avenger 150 and the details are scarce. If there is a 150cc Avenger is in the pipeline, we expect the smallest of new Avengers to be powered by the same 4-stroke, DTS-i, air cooled, single cylinder 149cc motor that propels the the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i. Performance figures are likely to remain identical to the Pulsar 150 DTS-i and the new Avenger 150 should put out 15.06 PS of power and 12.5Nm of torque from the 149cc engine.

We would be covering the event LIVE so don’t forget to tune into Motoroids on October 27 at 11:30 AM for all the latest updates. Do share your views and opinions about the upcoming Bajaj Avenger series through the comments section below.

  1. I don't think that it's going to work out anymore……if just doing some cosmetic updates by giving a new paintjob and instrument console and not even touching the power mill meant to lauch a new bike for bajaj, surely it's not going to do anything around such trendy market….had waited for it since 1.5 year but all that bajaj give afterall is nothing except disappointing……have turned towards RE TB 350 now…..
