Hisanori Matsushima, chief designer of the Ciaz concept, said, “the back seat will have ample space to relax and Suzuki wants customers to enjoy its large internal size”. The Maruti Ciaz is 4545 mm long and this makes the upcoming car considerably longer than the current gen Honda City. The manufacturer has opted for rigid mounting of the suspension components of Ciaz, which has resulted into usage of softer springs for a comfier ride. The rear seat comfort is further enhanced by the acres of leg room on offer.

For the Indian car marker, Ciaz will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant will get a 1.5 litre DOHC four cylinder petrol engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. Powering the diesel variant will be the tried and tested 1.3 litre Multijet oil burner with a five speed manual transmission.
