Barely 10 days ago, the Fiat Avventura Urban Cross was spotted testing for the first time and now, the Indian arm of the Italian automobile manufacturer has opened the premium hatchback’s bookings. First showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, Fiat is likely to launch the model in the coming weeks.

Customers wanting to book the Urban Cross can do so by paying a booking amount between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000 based on the variant chosen. The model is said to be available in the following variants – Active and Dynamic (both diesel) and Emotion (Petrol).
The Urban Cross will be powered by the 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo-petrol engine and the 1.3-litre Mulitjet turbo-diesel engine. While the latter, believed to be in the same tune as the Avventura Abarth, is capable of producing 140 bhp and 212 Nm of torque, the former is tuned to produce 90 hp and 115 Nm of torque. These engines will come mated to a five speed manual transmission.

Features on the Urban Cross will include a dual tone paintjob, LED headlights, roof rails, follow me home head lamps, 17 inch alloy wheels with red accents and LED optical guides in the tail lamps. On the inside, the model will come equipped with dual tone interiors and a touchscreen infotainment system. Once launched, the Fiat Avventura could command a price tag north of Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
