It was back when the Discover 125 M was launched when we reported that Bajaj Auto Ltd might have discontinued the Bajaj Discover 125 ST (CLICK HERE to read our earlier report). Now, a report that has recently cropped up on the cyber space reads that the Bajaj Discover 125 ST has actually been discontinued. As we were suspecting, the bike has been discontinued owing to poor response from the market.

The Bajaj Discover 125ST’s discontinuation follows the launch of the new Bajaj Discover 125M (CLICK HERE for Bajaj Discover 125M Review). The new Bajaj Discover 125M is the third new gen Discover 125 variant to have gone on sale. The Discover 125M, akin to the Discover 100M, is an entry level model in the new gen Discover family. The recently launched model misses out on some of the features of the ST variants but comes with a really attractive price tag.
Earlier this month, BAL officials also told us that 100M sales four-five times higher than those from the 100T and hence, it becomes all the more necessary for the manufacturer to have a bargain basement model for the 125cc engine variant too. They also added that the really low demand for the higher variants might lead to their discontinuation at a later stage. While the 100T is still on sale in the country, it seems like poor sales performance has compelled the manufacturer to pull the plug on the 125ST. Hence, the new gen Discover 125 is on sale in only two variants- M and T.
