Bajaj has been leaving no stone unturned in order to promote their new bike as well as to garner a new fan following for it. Recently the bike had its first reported celebrity customer. Bajaj Auto’s Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj, personally handed over the customised Bajaj V to Aamir Khan. Speaking about the new television commercial, it starts with the tear down of INS Vikrant and then the making and testing of the all-new Bajaj V.
It shows the making of the fuel tank and then the bike undergoes a series of test in a heat chamber, through water cannons and a wind tunnel. A rider then takes the bike for a ride through puddles and hills in order to make a point of its build and performance. The commuter holds the INS Vikrant insignia on the fuel tank cap.
The Bajaj V is powered by a Single cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC 2 valve, Air cooled, DTS-i engine. The 149.5cc unit can make a power of 12PS at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 13 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The bike is priced at INR 62,803 (Ex-showroom Maharashtra) and is available in two colour schemes – Pearl White and Ebony Black. Deliveries of the new V started from 23 March 2016.
