Tata Manza (facelift)

• Launch: July 2014
• Engine options: 1.4 Petrol, 1.3 Diesel
• Price:  INR 5.5-8 lakhs

The Manza hasn’t exactly been a success story for Tata Motors. The entry level C segment sedan, in spite of boasting of class leading space and being well priced, have failed to capture the imagination of the entry level sedan buyers in the country. Tata Motors plans to try and change all this by launching an updated Manza around summers next year. The Manza facelift would boast of a sportier front end and a slightly updated rear end. The interiors too will be given a mild nip and tuck and the car is expected to be launched with a small price cut.

Tata Vista (facelift) 

• Launch: February 2014
• Engine options: 1.2 Petrol, 1.3 Diesel
• Price: INR 4-6.5 lakhs

The Vista facelift has been spotted testing on numerous occasions and will make its public debut at the Auto Expo 2014. Soon after, the car will go on sale in the ultra competitive hatchback segment of Indian car market. Equipped with refreshed exteriors, which would include a sportier front fascia and a more stylish rear, the upcoming facelift will most likely bring along some excitement to the fast ageing brand. The interiors too are likely to be spruced up and in all probability, the car will come with the Manza’s dashboard.

Engine options are likely to be remain unchanged and at the most, will get a re-map for better fuel efficiency.

Toyota Corolla (new)

• Launch: May 2014
• Engine options: 1.8 Petrol, 1.4 Diesel
• Price: INR 13-16.5 lakhs

The all new Toyota Corolla will make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo in February and is likely to go on sale in May. The latest gen Corolla is expected to retail at almost the same price point and could make life a lot tougher for the new Skoda Octavia and the Hyundai Elantra. The new Corolla is bigger, more loaded and in every way a world class car. While the engine options will be carried over from the current model, we expect TKM to give them a re-tweak for added performance and economy. 

Volvo XC90 (new)

• Launch: December 2014
• Engine options: 2.0 Petrol, 2.0 Diesel
• Price: INR 60-75 lakhs

Volvo has been testing the all new XC90 and the great news is that the new model has good chances of making to India towards the end of next year. The new Volvo XC90 will be underpinned by the carmaker’s all-new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) modular platform and the carmaker’s new interior design language from the Coupé Concept will mark its launch with the new gen XC90.

The car will be powered by a set of modern and sufficiently potent 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines.
