With the Uttar Pradesh elections not too far away, campaigning for the same has begun and in a posh manner to say the least. Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of the state recently embarked on his election campaign by travelling in a customized Mercedes-Benz truck that reportedly cost him about INR 5 crore.

While an unfortunate breakdown resulted in the bus halting just 1 km into its journey, the minister was forced to travel in his usual bulletproof car. As mechanics try to find the fault and fix the custom build, we get you a lowdown of what went into this exotic ride.
Safety being the prime concern, the bus comes equipped with bulletproof glass across the length and breadth of the vehicle. Also on offer are multiple CCTV cameras to keep an eye on the safety of Yadav. The interior of the bus is said to be divided into two parts consisting of a living area and a small office.

While the living area features creature comforts such as a luxurious washroom and a kitchen with a fridge, the office has room for up to six occupants and comes equipped with 4G connectivity and an LCD TV. An important highlight of the bus is an in-built elevator that gives the minister access to the roof enabling him to address the locals gathered around.
