Toyota Launches 3rd Drive The Nation Campaign; Govt Employees Receive Special Benefits On Etios Range

After having seen significant success in the first two editions, Toyota has announced the launch of the third “Drive The Nation” campaign. This campaign specially targets Government employees who are looking to upgrade or switch their cars to a new product from the Etios family.

From this phase onwards, the campaign has been expanded to ensure that even the blood relatives of all central and state government employees can avail the benefits which are rolled out under this scheme. Toyota claims that the previous editions of the campaign have been responsible for 10 percent of all sales of the Etios range and it is looking to better that number this year.

 

The “Drive the Nation” campaign focuses on providing an integrated suite of offers granting them affordable funding options, special offers on Toyota Protect Insurance and Toyota Genuine Accessories, special maintenance packages and complimentary extended warranty. Toyota calls this set the FAMILY package, detailed as follows:

Special “Drive The Nation Champions” have been appointed in TKM dealerships across the country to specifically attend to Government employees. Eligible customers across the country can walk in to any retail outlet of Toyota and avail these benefits on the Platinum Edition Etios and Liva.

Mr. N. Raja, Director and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for TKM in India said, “We are delighted to further extend the “Drive the Nation” campaign after receiving overwhelming response the government employees. The wide acceptance we received for the past two phases of the campaign and the increase in sales of Etios series is a testament to the fact that customers have appreciated the great value that our products offer.”

The Etios and the Liva are powered by a 1.4 Litre D-4D Diesel that puts out 68 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque. In addition, the Etios receives a 1.5 Litre 90 PS Petrol motor option while its hatchback brother gets a 1.2 Litre 80 PS Gasoline engine. All the cars receive a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

With the recent update, the Etios range now receives multiple safety features as standard including dual SRS Airbags, ABS, EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts for restraining infants. This allowed the Etios to be accredited with a solid 4-Star Rating in the Global-NCAP crash tests in 2016.
