Tata Nexon Launched In Sri Lanka

Tata Motors have launched their new Sub four meter Crossover, the Nexon in Sri Lanka. Tata took the step along with their distributor Diesel and Motors Engineering PLC (DIMO). Unveiling the Tata Nexon, Mr. Ranjith Pandithage, Chairman & Managing Director, DIMO, said, “This is our first big step into the Compact SUV segment with Tata Motors. Continuing our long standing relationship with the Company, we are proud and confident to launch this product in our country and look forward to introduce many more such fantastic products.”

The Nexon will be offered in 6 trim levels, XE, XM, XT, XZ, XZ+ and XTA+. The Nexon will be offered with both the 1.2 litre turbocharged Revotron Petrol Engine and the 1.5 litre Revotorq Diesel engine. Combined with three driving modes, City, Eco and Sport the performance of the engine can be used in different states of tune. The cars has 2 transmission options, a six speed manual and a six speed Hyperdrive AMT.

The Nexon recently bagged 4 stars in the Global NCAP crash tests, which proves the robust nature of the car. Safety features like Airbags and ABS are offered as standard across all models. A choice of six colours (Etna Orange, Vermont Red, Moroccan Blue, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey, and Calgary White) will be offered for the Nexon. Launched at a price of Rs. 1.99 Mn for Petrol and Rs. 4.6 Mn for Diesel (Permit Holder Prices) for the XZA+ (Top Variant), the Nexon also features a Harman infotainment system and a first in class wearable car key.
