The Suzuki Gixxer 155 won a lot of hearts, and awards in the Indian market since its launch in September 2014. In fact, the Gixxer 155 overtook Hero’s all four 150cc motorcycles in terms sales in December 2014. And if these spy images from automotive website GaadiWaadi are to be believed, Suzuki is already planning to introduce a new variant of the Gixxer 155. However, this upcoming variant is likely to receive cosmetic changes only.
The spy images indicate that the upcoming variant will receive new dacals on the tank and rim stickers to make it look more appealing over the plain vanilla mono-colour options that are currently sold by the manufacturer. But do not expect to see any mechanical changes. Suzuki will most likely continue to sell this new variant with the same carbureted 4-stroke, air cooled single cylinder, SOHC, two-valve engine that is found on the current model. The 154.9cc motor pumps out 14.8PS of peak power at 8000 rpm and 14Nm of max torque at 6000 rpm.
