Maruti Suzuki is working on numerous models ahead of their launch that is expected to take place in the coming months. Test mules of models such as the next generation Ertiga, next-gen Wagon-R and the Ciaz facelift have been spotted during their respective public road tests on multiple occasions. Now, a new report suggests that the launch details of upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift have been revealed. According to the report, the Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer plans to launch the facelift Ciaz in India in the month of August this year. Bookings for the model are rumoured to open in July, a month prior to its expected launch.

The report further added that Maruti Suzuki will introduce new engine options under the hood of the Ciaz. The 1.4-litre petrol motor could be replaced with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit while the 1.3-litre fiat sourced diesel engine is likely to make way for an all-new 1.5-litre diesel motor developed in-house. Both the new engines are expected to produce higher power outputs than the outgoing units.
Visual updates to the Ciaz facelift are expected to come in the form of a new front bumper, new chrome grille, fog lamps with chrome accents, refreshed tail lamps, dual tone rear bumper with chrome inserts and new alloy wheels. Inside, the model could come equipped with a new touchscreen infotainment system and a few trim and upholstery updates.
