A couple of days back Honda and Nissan unveiled their line up for the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon 2014. Now, it is Mazda’s turn to reveal the products it plans to showcase at the upcoming performance and styling show.
Mazda will showcase a range of racing, tuned and pre-production concept cars at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon 2014.
Some of these cars made their public debut at the SEMA 2013 in November. However, for the TAS 2014, these would come with new paint jobs and new names. For instance, the Axela Sport Mazda Design Concept 2014 and the Atenza Sedan Mazda Design Concept 2014 will be nothing but re-painted Mazda3 and Mazda6 ClubSport studies, which we saw at SEMA.
Other cars that Mazda is planning to bring to TAS 2014 include Mazda6 Skyactiv-D diesel-powered race car from the Grand AM GX series, and three pre-production studies, which will include- Mazda6 estate-based “Atenza Wagon Mazda Design Concept 2014”, Mazda3 sedan-based “Axela Sedan Mazda Design Concept 2014”, and “CX-5 Mazda Design Concept 2014”. All the three of these vehicles will sport slight modifications with their aero kits and new design wheel.
