Maruti Suzuki’s New Alto 800 Rolls Out On CEAT Fuelsmarrt Tyres

CEAT announced its association with Maruti Suzuki India for the newly launched Alto 800. CEAT’s ‘Fuelsmarrt TL’ tyres are specially customized for this model and will be available in 145/80R12 size. It is the first tyre in the 12inch category to come with low rolling resistance. The ‘CEAT Fuelsmarrt TL’ tyres for the New Alto have interlocked blocks with optimum deformation for better stability.

The optimized tread pattern of the Fuelsmarrt tyres helps in providing low rolling resistance, which in turn helps to keep the vehicle within the driver’s control and provides better fuel efficiency. Additionally, these tyres promise to offer superior comfort and grip in both wet and dry road conditions.

Earlier this month, Maruti Suzuki launched the New Alto 800 with enhanced safety features and a few design updates. With these, the Alto gets a BS – VI compliant engine and more safety features as standard. With the increase in equipment, comes an increase in price and the Alto 800 is now available at INR 2,93,689, INR 3,50,375 and INR 3,71,709 for the STD, LXi and VXi variants respectively. (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.) The car is available in 6 colour options – Uptown Red, Superior White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Mojito Green and Cerulean Blue.

Apart from the new BS – VI compliant engine, the Alto also gets a couple more new features. The car now comes with a redesigned front and rear end with sharper lights. The interior too has been refreshed and the new Alto comes with a new infotainment system called Smart Play Dock. Customers can enjoy music on the Smart Play Dock with Bluetooth, which transforms the customer’s phone into a touch interface to access calls, music, navigation and more. Important safety aids, including ABS with EBD, Reverse Parking Sensor, Driver Airbag, Speed Alert System and Seat Belt Reminder for both driver and co-driver are now part of standard equipment. This little hatchback also complies with the upcoming crash and pedestrian safety regulation.
