Recently, a fire broke out at Subros Auto Air-conditioning Systems, one of the component suppliers to Maruti Suzuki. The unfortunate incident affected the manufacturing of various models from the company’s portfolio. Now, the company has pre-scheduled its annual maintenance schedule by three weeks in order to arrange for the components.

Maruti Suzuki usually conducts its biennial maintenance from 27th June to July 2nd, but now the maintenance work will take place from June 6th to June 11th. The schedule will be applicable to both the plants owned by the company that are located in Gurgaon and Manesar.

The company said that the rescheduling of the maintenance cycle will help them to arrange the supply of air-conditioning kits that were affected due to the fire at Subros Limited. The fire resulted in temporary suspension of production at both the plants. The company had earlier said that they would try to source the components from alternate sources in order to resume production as soon as possible.
