Ola cabs recently introduced a new category for its customers residing in South Bombay. Known as Ola Lux, the fleet includes luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. Now, as the fleet cab operator is due to expand this premium category to the rest of the country, a cab driver belonging to the firm has been arrested after he allegedly misbehaved with a judge in Delhi.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when the complainant, who works as an additional session’s judge, had booked a cab to her home from the Tees Hazari Court. Accompanied by an associate, the judge was on her way home when she asked the driver, identified as Sandeep Kumar, to stop the vehicle at Kamla Nagar market as she had some work. The driver not only refused to comply but even verbally abused her before throwing her laptop outside.

The driver also allegedly went on to say that he was not scared of her even as the judge dialed the police helpline 100. The judge later filed a complaint with the Roop Nagar police station after which the driver was arrested. The police have registered a case under sections 354A (sexual harassment), 509 (using words, gestures or acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 427 (causing damage to property) of the Indian Penal Code.
