Mahindra Scorpio N Clocks Over 1 Lakh Bookings In 30 Minutes

Mahindra & Mahindra has recorded 1,00,000 bookings for the All-New Scorpio-N within 30 minutes of the booking commencement at 11:00 am today, translating into an ex-showroom value of ₹18,000 crores. Mahindra also recorded 25,000 bookings within one minute of booking commencement. Deliveries of the Scorpio-N will begin September 26, 2022, onwards. Over 20,000 units of the Scorpio-N are planned for delivery by December 2022 wherein Z8L variant will be prioritized. Mahindra will inform the customers about their delivery date by the end of August 2022. Customers will have an option of editing their choice of variant booked on July 30 till 15th August midnight. The launch price will be applicable only for the first 25000 bookings.

The design of the Scorpio-N is unmistakable Scorpio with a ton of modern bits thrown in. The front gets an upright and imposing face. The headlamps get dual LED projector units and dynamic turn indicators. The new Mahindra SUV logo can be seen sitting proudly in the six-slat grille. The lower half of the bumper gets a silver skid plate and the fog lamps are surrounded by C-shaped LED DRLs. The Scorpio N comes loaded with features such as front and rear cameras with sensors, 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, selectable drive modes, cruise control, wireless smartphone charging, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, 70+ connected car features, an electric sunroof, and wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

The petrol engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter Mstallion unit that produces 200hp and 380nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 2.2-liter Mhawk unit that is available in two states of tune. The base Z2 gets 132hp and 300nm of torque whereas the higher variants produces 175hp and 400nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Scorpio also offers 4×4 as an option which comes with Mahindra’s 4xplor system which comes with Terrain modes.
