Honda Brio facelift spotted at an Indian dealership; launch soon

The upcoming Honda Brio facelift has been spotted at an Indian dealership ahead of its impending launch. Just like the face-lifted Amaze, the refreshed Brio gets a new grille shroud, but in case of the hatchback it is partly finished in gloss black and partly in chrome. The refreshed, more sculpted front bumper from the  face-lifted Amaze is also carried over with its faux mesh inserts and oval fog lamps. Apart from the new fascia, the Brio facelift’s exteriors will continue unchanged, right down to the wheels.

Honda Brio facelift interior

Inside, the Brio facelift features a completely new dashboard that’s also sourced from the face-lifted Amaze. The interior is gets an all black colour scheme highlighted with faux silver finished inserts and textured surfaces. The new instrument cluster features bigger dials, but it doesn’t get the MID from the face-lifted Amaze. Equipment on offer on the new Brio will be automatic climate control, steering-mounted buttons and an all-new 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity.

Mechanically, the Brio facelift be similar to the existing model, which means that it will continue to be powered by the 1.2-litre, i-VTEC, four-cylinder petrol engine tuned to produce 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque. While a 5-speed manual transmission will be standard, it remains to be seen if Honda Car India equips the new Brio with a CVT option.
