Last month, Honda India launched the 2016 Honda Amaze facelift in India with prices starting from INR 5.29 Lakhs. Following this launch, Honda has launched the Brio facelift and the RS edition in Indonesia at the ongoing Indonesia International Motor Show 2016. Known as the Brio Satya in Indonesia, the five-door hatchback has received some cosmetic upgrades on its exteriors as well as in the interiors.

The front fascia has been completely reworked on. The front grille has been redesigned and extended on either side to reach the headlamp. The fog lamp housings are separated from the air dam case as it was a one piece unit on the previous version. The side profile has been retained, except that the B pillar is now body painted. The rear section features minimal facelift drama and the only addition there is a thick, flat chrome garnish under the rear glass, apart from a new rear spoiler. The Honda Brio facelift is equipped with new aluminium finish 6 lug alloy 14-inch wheels. In addition to all of the aforementioned upgrades, the new Brio RS editions gets new headlamp units with DRLs, LED turn indicators , blacked out B-pillars, 5 split spoke alloys and RS badges.

The interiors of the new Honda Brio facelift are upgraded and now feature a new, BR-V inspired dashboard design which is also shared with the facelifted models of the Amaze and Mobilio. Gone is the ugly dashboard from the original Brio, and in comes this contemporary version, with squared off vents and a single instrument panel showing all the primary meters instead of the three-pod cluster on the previous version. The centre console has been redone to look more premium and sharper, while the onboard AC knobs have been replaced by switches. The interiors of the RS variant are completely black with orange highlights unlike the dual tone of the regular Brio. The RS features a touch screen infotainment system on its centre console. Except the base S variant all other variants receive steering mounted audio control.

Powering the Honda Brio facelift is a 1.2-liter four cylinder SOHC i-VTEC  that can deliver power of 88 Bhp and a max torque of 110 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels by CVT automatic transmission or a five-speed manual gearbox. Honda Brio facelift will be rolled out with a starting price of Rp. 129.6 million (approx INR 6.5 Lakhs) for Brio Satya manual and  Rp. 174.7 million (INR 8.7 Lakhs) for the RS CVT variants.

For now, there are no official words on the launch of the Brio facelift in India, but as the Amaze has been upgraded recently we can assume that the Brio will be updated soon too.
