Kawasaki Ninja Special Edition India

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition with 30th Anniversary Edition style graphics launched in India

Kawasaki Ninja Special Edition - India - 1

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 30th Anniversary edition was unveiled for the world in August last year as the Japanese two-wheeler maker celebrated 30 years of the Ninja brand. That special edition, however, never made it to the Indian shores. For 2015, Kawasaki has quietly launched the Ninja 300 Special Edition that comes wrapped in graphics that are near identical to the 30th Anniversary edition graphics.

The special edition of the Ninja 300, similar to the 30th Anniversary models, comes in a special paint scheme formed by the intermingling of the trademark Kawasaki Green, generous dollops of black and a sliver of white elsewhere. Unlike the 30th Anniversary edition, the India spec Ninja Special Edition gets Kawasaki’s trademark green paint on the lower part of the fairing instead of the black colour on the 30th Anniversary edition. This Kawasaki Ninja also gets a “Special Edition” badge near the fuel cap.

The changes, however, are purely cosmetic and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition continues with the same technical specifications as the standard models. Yes, even the Special Edition does not come with ABS. A 296cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder motor developing 39 PS of power and 27 Nm of torque continues to propel the Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition.

The source of the report suggests that the special edition Kawasaki Ninja 300 does not command any premium over the standard model and is available at Rs 3.61 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
