New 2016 Toyota Innova Teased
The first set of leaked images of the Indonesian-spec model were out couple of days ago. Finally Toyota has officially teased their New Innova for a global debut. The official image of the Innova is in line with the leaked brochure images drifting on the internet. The new Innova is expected to be unveiled in Indonesia, where it is known as the Kijang Innova, since its info is all battered with Indonesian connection!
The new Toyota Innova will feature an all-new line up of “GD” turbo-diesel engines. Unveiled at the 2015 Vienna Motor Symposium, the new engines will replace the outgoing KD engines found in the current generation models. Toyota claims that the new diesel engine will be about 10 per cent more fuel efficient than the one powering the current model.
Toyota has given importance to safety features in the new Innova, which comes with ABS, EBD and three airbags as standard across the top-of-the-line Q variant followed by V and G trims. The new Toyota Innova also gets an all-new IMV (International Multi-purpose Vehicle) platform that is nimble yet rigid than that of the current generation models. The global launch of the new Innova is likely to be on November 23. The Innova is also expected to show-up in India, by the end of 2015 or in early 2016, with the same specifications and variants.
