India’s First Kawasaki Z900RS Delivered In Mangalore

India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) announced earlier in the day, the launch of the all new Ninja 400, with prices starting at INR 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, the Indian arm of the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has delivered the very first unit of the Z900RS in India to its owner based in Mangalore, Karnataka.

Delivered to its owner identified as one Mr. Lobo, the Z900RS seen in the images is finished in candytone brown/candytone orange, the only colour option for the India bound models. The motorcycle was launched in India in February this year, and it arrives in India through the CBU route, with prices starting at INR 15.30 lakh (ex-showroom).

A few highlights of the Z900RS from Kawasaki include an LED headlamp, ABS, KRTC (Kawasaki Traction Control), dual analogue speedometer and tachometer dials separated by a multi-function LCD screen. Up-front, the bike features 41 mm inverted forks while the rear features a gas-charged monoshock unit, both with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability. Braking power comes in the form of dual 300 mm discs and a single 250 mm disc at the front and rear respectively.

Propelling the new Kawasaki Z900RS is a 948 cc, liquid cooled, in-line four cylinder motor. This engine is tuned to produce 111 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 98.5 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a six speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.
