The co-developed hypercar by Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, formerly identified by its codename AM-RB 001, was officially named the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The Valkyrie will be limited in numbers and buyers can customise the hypercar to their preference. But Indian-American businessman Kris Singh went the extra mile.
Singh will soon add a USD 3.2 million (INR 20 crore) Aston Martin Valkyrie to his garage. But what’s more unique than this limited run hypercar itself, is its paint that will have actual Moon dust. The paint, at INR 25 crore, costs more than the hypercar. This is the most unique supercar customisation, and it will remain so for quite a while.
Singh wrote in his Instagram post, “I have sourced, gotten proper verification, and purchased an actual Rock from the Moon which will be ground to dust and used as a key ingredient in Karosserie Lunar Red which will be the color of my Aston Martin Valkyrie. This will be the first car ever to feature a paint formula that includes actual ingredients from SPACE.”
In case you’re wondering, the Valkyrie will be powered by a 6.5 Litre Naturally Aspirated V12 engine assisted by hybrid technology which, the company claims, can heat up the exhaust to a stunning 800 degrees. Aston is targeting a 1,000 PS power figure for the 1,000 kg total weight.
