Porsche launched the 911 GT3 in India back in October last year, with prices starting at INR 2.3 crore (ex-showroom, pan India). The Indian arm of the German marquee even delivered the first unit of the 911 GT3 to its owner a few months ago. Now, another 911 GT3 has landed at Porsche Centre Mumbai and the proud owner is none other than Narain Karthikeyan, India’s first Formula One driver.
Pavan Shetty, Director of Porsche India, handed over the keys of the brand new 911 GT3 to Narain Karthikeyan at the Porsche showroom in Mumbai. Finished in a shade of Guards Red, this particular 911 GT3 has been highly customized and will soon head to its home in Coimbatore. Customizations on this 911 GT3 include the ClubSport package, Sport Chrono Package, Alcantara leather seats, GT3 sport bucket seats and much more.
At the heart of the Porsche 911 GT3 is a 4.0-litre six cylinder, naturally aspirated engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 493 bhp while the peak torque is rated at 540 Nm. Transmission duties are taken care of by the seven speed dual clutch PDK unit as standard while a six speed manual transmission is available as an option.
