Hyundai Venue Gains Huge Number Of Bookings On Day 1

Hyundai’s upcoming car, the Venue, has garnered a lot of attention already. This sub-4-metre SUV will go on sale on the 21st of May. The prices of this compact SUV will also be known on this date. Ahead of its launch, Hyundai opened the bookings of this car, both at dealer level and online for a booking amount of INR 21,000. The immense popularity has made this compact SUV gain as much as 2000 bookings on the first day itself and the bookings continue to go on in full swing. The Venue will be going against the likes of the Tata Nexon, Ford Ecosport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the newly launched Mahindra XUV300.

This car will be offered in a total of six variants, starting the basic E model, followed by the S, SX, SX dual tone, SX(O) and the range-topping SX+. These six variants will be accompanied by a total of 10 colour options – Star Dust, Fiery Red, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Deep Forest, Lava Orange, Denim Blue, Denim Blue + Polar White roof (Dual Tone), Polar White + Phantom Black roof (Dual Tone) and Lava Orange + Phantom Black roof (Dual Tone). Also on offer are a range of drivetrain options listed below:

  • 1.2-litre petrol | 81 hp/114 Nm | 5-speed manual
  • 1-litre petrol | 120 hp/172 Nm | 6-speed manual
  • 1-litre petrol | 120 hp/172 Nm | 7-speed automatic
  • 1.4-litre Diesel | 90 hp 220 Nm | 6-speed manual

Also making a debut with this car is a new BlueLink connectivity feature, which uses a built-in sim card to keep the car connected at all times. The BlueLink technology will offer a total of 33 features, many of which have been made specifically for the Indian audience. These features can further be broken down into 7 subcategories – safety, security, remote access, vehicle relationship management, location-based services, alert services and artificial intelligence.
