Honda Navi deliveries to reportedly commence from next month

The Honda Navi made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo held in Delhi last month. The company launched the 110 cc Navi with an attractive price tag of Rs. 39,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The Navi gained popularity and amassed a good number of bookings since its unveiling last month. Bookings for the Navi were possible through dealerships or via the Navi app on the android platform.

Now reports suggest that the deliveries for the Navi are expected to begin as soon as next month. The Navi is available in three concepts – Adventure, N-Street and Off-Road concept is a crossover between a motorcycle and a scooter which is aimed towards the youth of today. The concepts are reported to roll out in a phased manner although no further details have been revealed.

Manufacturing of this new segment product will take place at the company’s facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan. If Honda receives a high demand, it is said that they would explore the process of manufacturing the Navi at the company’s plant in Vithalpur, Gujarat that currently caters only to the scooter production.

Powering the Honda Navi is the conventional 110 cc HET engine seen on its popular scooter, the Activa while it sits on a completely new chassis. Honda will be offering a wide range of accessories to promote customization on its new crossover. The company also plans to renovate its showrooms to give them a fun motorcycling theme of the Navi. The company will also be reportedly working on the Navi II, further details of which are awaited.
