The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was launched on the 8th of March, about a month after it was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. The eagerly awaited compact SUV has now garnered bookings to the tune 2,600 in just 24 hours post its launch. The official twitter handle of the Vitara Brezza broke the news yesterday.
The bookings for the compact SUV officially began after its launch with reports suggesting that some dealers were accepting bookings for the Vitara Brezza from as early as February. The Vitara Brezza finally arrived with an introductory price tag of Rs. 6.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
Available in 7 trims, the Vitara Brezza receives a driver side airbag as a standard feature across the trims, while front passenger airbag and ABS with EBD are available as an optional feature from the base trim itself. The Vitara Brezza will be offered in 7 colour variants, with the top end variant coming with a dual tone option.

Powering this compact SUV that is fully developed in India would be the 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine that produces a power output of 89 hp while the peak torque figure will stand at 200 Nm. This engine will send power to the wheels with the help of a 5 speed manual transmission. The AMT transmission is expected to arrive later during its life cycle. The Vitara Brezza is claimed to sprint from 0-100 in 13.3 seconds while its returns an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 24.3 kmpl.
Coming to the interiors, the Vitara Brezza receives a touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and navigation, keyless entry, 5-colour options of mood lights on the speedometer; reverse parking camera, cruise control and automatic climate control apart from an array of customization options.
Starting at Rs. 6.99 lakh and going up to Rs. 9.68 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) the deliveries for the Vitara Brezza will begin by the end of the month. Rivals to the Vitara Brezza would be the Ford Ecosport and the Mahindra TUV300.
