Hero Maestro Edge 125 Launched With A Starting Price Of INR 58,500

The market of 125 cc scooter has seen tremendous growth over the years. Sales in this segment of vehicles have gone up by 4 times in the last 5 years, and hold 20% share of the market right now. Following the success of the Destini 125 in this segment, Hero has launched the Maestro Edge 125, the second offering in this segment. The scooter will come with an option of a fuel injected motor as well as a conventional carburettor fed power plant. This makes the Maestro 125 the first scooter in our market to come with fuel injection. The FI variant of the scooter is priced at INR 62,700, while the carburettor fed variant is priced at INR 58,500 for the drum brake model and INR 60,000 for the Disc brake model. All priced mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The fuel injected variant of this scooter manages to squeeze out 9.1 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm out of the 125 cc motor. This enables the Maestro 125 to deliver the best in class power to weight ratio. The Carburettor fed variant, develops 8.7 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm, and also comes with Hero’s i3S technology. The i3S technology is essentially a stop-start system, which would cut the engine off when you stop for some time, for example at a red light, to help you save some precious fuel.

The scooter has been endowed with a load of features as well. The scooter offers telescopic suspension in the front, an external fuel filling cap, mobile charging port, boot lamp, remote key opening, side stand indicator, service due reminder and a digital analogue instrument console. The scooter not only scores high on utility and features, but also comes with a number of cosmetic enhancements. This includes stuff like the stand out LED signature, diamond-cut cast wheels, textured seat, a sharp front cover & apron, a sleek rear cowl, LED tail lamp and frost winkers to name a few. Also accompanying the scooter is a range of exciting colours. The FI variant will be offered in two shades – Pearl white with a brown inner panel and Astro Gold Forks and Panther Black with a red inner panel.
