It is being said that s Hero MotoCorp has stopped the production of the current Karizma R and the Karizma ZMR. Also, the very fact that Hero dealers across the country are no longer being provided with stocks of these two models shows that the bike maker is close to pulling both these bikes off the shelves! This also means that the new 2014 Hero Karizma R and ZMR launch is around the corner. (Please note- We were the first ones to report that the bike maker is close to launching the updated Hero Karizma)
The new 2014 Hero Karizma R facelift boasts of several updates that should enable the aging bike to soldier on for some more years. The new 2014 Karizma looks much like the facelifted ZMR and sports the same front fairing, albeit, without the lower half of the front fairing. The bike also gets twin projector headlamps, and LED DRLs. Other than all this, the bike also receives split seat setup, split grabrails, revised side panels, new tail end and a slightly revised muffler.
The new 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR features similar visual updates and powering the new bike is a retuned version of the current model’s engine that now produces a max power of 20bhp and a peak torque of 19.7 Nm. It is being said that the bike’s engine has been developed with inputs from EBR and we feel that the bump in power would make the ZMR sufficiently more potent.
The 2014 Hero Karizma R enjoys a max power of 19.2 bhp, considerably more than that of the current model’s rather modest 17 bhp. The 2014 Karizma R can hit 60kmph from zero in 3.6 secs and true top speed is expected to be 13o kmph.
