Before being unveiled on Janary 28, 2016, the Ford Mustang was seen on several occasions during its test runs in India. Reports had suggested that Ford India would launch the iconic muscle car prior to the Auto Expo, but fans were a bit disappointed when the company announced that the Mustang would be launched in the second quarter of the year 2016. As the launch inches closer to the aforementioned time frame, Ford India has imported six units to the sub-continent.

Of the six units that have been already imported, three units were spotted sitting at Ford’s Chennai yard. These three units, all draped in a shade of red with black wheels, are powered by the 5.0 litre Ti-VCT engine. The aforementioned models will be the first generation of the Mustang to feature a right hand drive configuration.
