While an adventure based KTM motorcycle is still far away, Bajaj’s Pulsar 200AS might work as a pacifier for motorcycle enthusiasts who are on a budget. Bajaj’s upcoming Pulsar 200AS Adventure Sport was spotted yet again, this time with a few other test mules, on the outskirts of Pune by Deepak Dongre from Motoroids. The motorcycle (and the rider) appears to be the very test mule that one of our readers spotted a few days ago. This motorcycle was doing the test runs along with other test mules from Bajaj, one of which was the Pulsar 150AS.
Mechanically, the Pulsar 200AS will share its power plant with the 200NS. So, expect to see the 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine do the job on this Adventure Sport as well. The motor is likely to deliver 23 bhp of power and 18.3 Nm of torque with a 6-speed gearbox. Bajaj may also tune the engine for a linear power and torque distribution to match with the adventure nature of the motorcycle. The suspension might also be tweaked to match with the dual-purpose characteristic of the motorcycle.
Bajaj plans to introduce as many as six new products in a few months from now so we can expect to see this motorcycle in showrooms very soon.
