The BMW X5 Expedition gets bi-xenon headlamps instead of adaptive LED units. The LED fog lamps are also absent on this model. On the mechanical front, BMW has replaced the Steptronic Sport version gearbox with a standard Steptronic 8-speed unit. The music system in the Expedition version is a 9-speaker unit instead of the 16-speaker Harman Kardon system. BMW Apps, the satellite navigation system and hard drive function have also been given a miss. Instead, the model gets a 16.5-cm display without the DVD drive and handwriting recognition.
