Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS launch imminent! Reaches dealers!!

Remember we recently said that the Bajaj Puslar 200 SS launch is nearer than we all earlier anticipated it to be? Now, it has emerged that Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) has already dispatched the first lot of the highly anticipated bike to its dealers, thereby signalling that the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS launch is very near to us. The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS images we have here show the bike in all its glory at a Bajaj dealer’s stock yard.

While Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) haven’t yet declared the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS Launch Date, this latest spotting makes us believe that the bike could be launched as soon as early next month. This means that the bike would be here only some days before the launch of the KTM RC Series in India. As can be seen in these images here, the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS would look much like the SS 400 concept that we saw at the Auto Expo 2014 in early February this year.

If the source of these pics is to believed, powering the upcoming model would be the same 200cc single cylinder carb. engine that powers the 200NS. Akin to 200NS, the engine will come mated to a six speed manual gearbox and will have a max power of around 23bhp.  The bike will borrow bits like the digi speedo console, the mono-rear suspension, clip-on handlebars, etc. from the 200NS. The bike will get have features like twin-stepped seats and projector headlamps. There also are chances that it would have an optional ABS.

As we’ve been saying, the Bajaj Pulsar SS 200 price will be pegged slightly higher than that of the 200NS. The new bike will lock horns with the Yamaha R15 V2.0 and Honda CBR150R.
