Bajaj Dominar Price Changed Yet Again On Their Website

Regular readers would recall a story from a couple of days ago, regarding a price drop of the Bajaj Dominar shown on their website. Believed to be a technical error, it seems that the price has been corrected, or has it? The website now quotes a price of INR 1,74,125 for the Dominar, however, the price at the launch was quoted to be INR 1,73,870. This mere difference of INR 255 may not seem huge, but we can not be sure if this is yet another technical error or is it a legitimate price hike. Do bear in mind, all prices quoted here are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Given a major update not too long ago, the Bajaj Dominar continues to retain its value for money proposition, but now offered much more equipment below for a nominal additional cost. A new front suspension, which gets a better, more modern upside-down configuration, providing better feedback to the rider, is on offer. Also seen is a new exhaust system, which looks sleeker than the one on the current model. Apart from being lighter in weight, this exhaust, combined with the new DOHC setup and the raised compression (12.1 from 11.3) ratio of the engine gives some serious power gains as well. The 373.2 cc, single cylinder engine now generates 40 PS of power, just 3 PS shy of the KTM Duke 390, the torque figure, however, remains unchanged at 35 Nm.

That is not all, Bajaj has also changed the ergonomics, making it more comfortable during longer rides. The dual screen setup also comes with a revision, providing you with a lot of information, including fuel efficiency, distance to empty and some more. Since the new government mandate forces bike manufacturers to provide ABS as a standard feature, the non-ABS model of the Dominar is no more offered, just one variant is now sold offering dual channel ABS as a standard feature. There also is a new colour option, Auroral Green, on offer, which joins the other colour options – Matte Black, Silver and Glossy Red. Want to know more about this motorcycle?
