Upcoming Cars in August 2022

After loaded July, the automotive industry is all set to kickstart August. With some amazing launches planned the industry will witness feature filled month. The cars which will lead the headlines in August include Hyundai Tucson, Toyota urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Alto, and Mercedes AMG EQS 53 4Matic+. There is also some speculation about Mahindra’s Five all-electric SUVs to make their debut this month.

The recently unveiled India bond version of Hyundai Tucson has some eye-catching design features like innovative half-mirror type daytime running lamps (DRLs)  full-width taillamp incorporating half-hidden triangular shapes, Glass integrated Hyundai logo and a long-wheelbase. The Interior of Tucson features three new technologies, including a vertically stacked, dual 10.25-inch full-touch screen exempt from hard buttons, a multi-air ventilation system, and an open, hood-less digital gauge cluster. And the second-row seats come with fold-and-dive functionality. The power of Tucson comes from a Smartstream 2.5-litre, direct-injected, four-cylinder, gasoline powertrain, and 1.6-liter, turbo, direct-injected, hybrid, or plug-in hybrid powertrains.

Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder

Toyota recently break the covers o its new SUV Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The cabin of Hyryder comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Other tech includes Arkymys sound tuning and Toyota’s-Connect’s 55+ connected car features including remote vehicle ignition. Other details are ventilated leather seats, a 7-inch MID, a center sliding armrest, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, a heads-up display, 360-degree parking camera, a panoramic sunroof, and an auto-dimming IRVM to name a few. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with two petrol engine options. The first engine is a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid unit with 101 hp and 136 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The other engine is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated Atkinson Cycle engine that makes 92 Hp and 122 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki Alto

The new Maruti Alto will have a clamshell bonnet with slim headlights and The bumper features a big mesh grille. The lower half of the bumper gets fog lamp inserts and a C-shaped design element on each side. This C-shaped element could house LED DRLs. it will get the power from an updated 1.0-liter K-series Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine with 66 hp at 5,500 rpm and 89 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. It will also continue with the tried and tested 796cc petrol engine that produces 48hp and 69Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT could be introduced as well. The next-generation Alto is expected to get the option of CNG somewhere down the line as well.

Mercedes AMG EQS 53 4Matic+

The first performance EV of Mercedes the EQS 534Matrik+ will make its debut after the launch of EQS 580 during the festive season. The AMG will deliver 751 hp with the Dynamic Plus package and will have a range between 326km and 360km. This electric car of Mercedes will compete against the likes of Audi RS e-Tron GT and Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
