The Volkswagen Vento has been around for quite some time and has received a lot of facelifts. The latest update gets it a smart looking chrome grille and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels. A well-built product, the Vento is still the go-to sedan for premium comfort, as well as driving pleasure.

Volkswagen Vento Exterior Design and Features

Full of understated elegance, the Volkswagen Vento is still a handsome car even after so many years of existence. Built to feel solid and premium, the Vento feels every bit just that, from the moment you open the door, get inside and start driving or be driven. The new facelift adds a pair of LED headlights and a new chrome grille which adds some more numbers to the product life of this VW.

Volkswagen Vento Interior and Cabin Features

The Volkswagen Vento sports a dual tone interior which looks really good and reeks of class. It also gets a touch screen infotainment system, which is both apple car play and android auto compliant. Quality of materials and the way things are put together helps this VW's premium cause and the dashboard layout, although minimal, offers everything that must be included in a modern car.

The Vento is also one of the few cars in its segment which offers a steering wheel which is adjustable for both rake and reach. A cooled glovebox, warm footwell lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, rear AC vents, heat insulating glass all around,  rear armrest, optional Leatherette upholstery, and a rear parking camera for higher-spec variants complete the spec list. At 494-litres, boot capacity is great and the cabin offers adequate space for occupants of all sizes to travel in comfort.

Volkswagen Vento Safety

The Volkswagen Vento has a plethora of safety features on offer to keep the driver and passengers as safe as possible. ABS and dual front airbags are standard on all the variants, while the top-spec Highline variant also offers side airbags. DSG-equipped variants also come fitted with ESP and Hill-hold control.

Volkswagen Vento Engine & Performance

The Volkswagen Vento offers 3 engine options - 1.5l TDI diesel engine making 110ps and 250nm of torque, a 1.6l MPI petrol engine making 105ps and 153nm of torque and a 1,2l TSI petrol engine making 105ps and 174nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel and the 1.2-litre petrol are offered with an optional 7-speed dual clutch DSG gearbox which is the smoothest, fastest and the most intelligent gearbox in the segment. In terms of fuel efficiency, the 1.6-litre petrol is rated for a company-claimed 16.09 km/l, the 1.2-litre TSI for 18.19, and manual and automatic variants of the 1.5-litre diesel are rated for 22.27 km/l and 22.15 km/l respectively.
