After making its debut in Indonesia in the presence of Movistar Yamaha MotoGP riders Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales, The Yamaha YZF-R15 3.0 is ready to roll into Thailand. The motorcycle was recently showcased in Thailand in the presence of Yamaha Racing’s new MotoGP rider, Maverick Vinales. India Yamaha Motor has remained tight lipped about the launch of the latest generation YZF-R15 3.0.

What’s new for 2017?
As you would’ve already read in our detailed report, the new 2017 Yamaha YZF-R15 gets a current generation YZF-R1 inspired design, especially at the rear. The motorcycle continues to use a Deltabox frame but in its latest iteration, features LED headlights, Upside down telescopic suspension at the front, and an all new digital instrument cluster.
Mechanically, the motorcycle gets an all new 155cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine which is tuned to deliver a healthy 19.3 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500 clicks. The engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission and also benefits from a slipper clutch.
