Yamaha India - Zippy - Second Birthday (1)

Yamaha Motor India celebrated the second birth anniversary of its mascot ‘Zippy’, at Nirmal Chhaya, an NGO for destitute women and children in the national capital. Under its ‘Safety First’ campaign, Yamaha Motor India had launched its first-of-a-kind Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP) in 2014. Through this initiative, Yamaha’s aim was to bring in a change in society by encouraging safe and responsible riding among children.

The campaign was launched along with a mascot ‘Zippy’, to promote the initiative. Zippy, was created to bring about an interest among children about the program and to accomplish a connect with them. On this occasion, the company also organized its YCSP programme for young girls under 18 years of age as well as practical training sessions on riding, for women above 18 years of age.

Since 2014, the Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP) has spread across 22 states and 350 districts in India. Through this program Yamaha has been able to reach out to and benefit 3,78,371 children.
