Volkswagen India reached a new milestone on 10th November 2015 when the Made-in-India Vento was exported to Argentina. The Vento will be sold in Argentina as the Volkswagen “Polo” and the models are being exported in both, right hand drive as well as left hand drive, configuration. The export vehicles are manufactured at the company’s facility in Pune.

The Made-in-India Vento will be sold with the 1.6 litre petrol engine in manual transmission as well as automatic transmission and will deliver a peak power output of 105 PS.

Volkswagen has a high share of the car market in South America and is known to be the market leader in Argentina for 12 consecutive years. Volkswagen India has been catering to the international market since 2011 starting with South Africa and now across 35 countries in continents such as Asia, Africa, North America and South America. Volkswagen India also exports components and parts to Malaysia where their cars are produced for the local market.

Volkswagen’s Pune plant has produced over 1.5 lakh cars for export till date and aims to produce top quality products for its customers worldwide.
