After making its online debut last week, the new Mercedes Benz S Class Coupe has been snapped on public streets.
The new Mercedes Benz S Class Coupe global debut is slated to happen at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next month. This video gives us a good look at the upcoming CL-Class replacement.

The S 500 Coupe variant of the S Class Coupe is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine producing 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. Also on offer will be a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 good for 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, which will also power the S65 AMG.
A new modular platform, codenamed “MRA”, will underpin the entire S-Class range, enabling the construction of additional variants such as the coupe and cabrio while retaining the common styling and mechanical elements. The MRA platform is expected to offer revised suspension design for improved ride and handling, while also shedding weight through greater use of high-tensile steels, aluminum, and composites.
One of the model’s highlights is a curve tilting function for the MAGIC BODY CONTROL suspension, which aims to reduce the lateral acceleration felt by the passengers. The S-Class Coupe can be optionally ordered with 47 Swarovski crystals in the headlights for a more elegant look, while on the inside there is a fresh “Super Sport” steering wheel.
