American car maker Chevrolet recently published a new video of the 2014 Corvette Stingray clocking some test miles on the holy Nürburgring.

The new video is a part of the latest promotional campaign by Chevrolet to create a buzz before the launch of the latest Corvette Stingray in Europe. The new video clip shows the Chevrolet Europe technical manager Patrick Herrmann behind the wheel of the new Corvette Stinray 2014 at Nordschleife. Patrick can also be seen explaining some of the key features of the new car.

As per the vehicle dynamics engineer Jim Mero, “[The] Nürburgring is renowned for its demanding race track and it is perfectly suited for our purpose, which is to fine-tune the ride and handling characteristics of the European Corvette Stingray.” He added, “We are paying particular attention to the suspension set-up and the steering at Nürburgring. European roads are quite distinct and different from those in the U.S., and so are driving habits.

As we told our readers earlier, the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is powered by a mammoth 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that has a max power of 460 bhp (343 kW) and a peak torque of 630 Nm (465 lb-ft). All this force bestows the new Stingray with a capability to dimiss the 96 kmph mark from standstill in a scant 3.8 seconds.*
