Seen here is the first-ever TVC for the new 2014 Mini.
The new 2014 Mini is a full 98mm longer, 44mm wider and 7mm taller than the outgoing model. The new Mini also enjoys a wheelbase that is longer by 42mm and track widths that have grown by 42mm (at front) and 34 mm (at rear). Along with having more legroom, the car also enjoys a 30 percent larger boot.
Features list for the new 2014 Mini consists of- Variable Damper Control, 15-inch alloy wheels (on Cooper and Cooper D), 16-inch alloys for the the Cooper S, an 8.8 inch infotainment-system screen, an iDrive-like system and a host of other features.
The entry level Mini is powered by a 3-cylinder, 1.5-liter petrol engine that has a max power of 134 bhp and peak torque of 162 lb-ft (170 lb-ft with overboost). The car is also available with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that has a max power of 114 bhp and peak torque of 199 lb-ft. The top of the line, Cooper S, variant is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol motor that has a max power of 189 bhp and peak torque of 206 lb-ft (221 lb-ft with overboost). All the three motors come equipped with a stop/start system and send power to front wheels via six-speed manual/six-speed auto gearbox.
