Nissan India has teased the automatic variant of the upcoming Terrano compact SUV ahead of its launch that is likely to take place next week. The first teaser video feature a visual of the cabin showcasing the manual transmission followed by a question – Want to change the way you shift?
The second teaser video displays the clutch lever followed by a line that reads – Give that left leg a rest. The automatic variant of the Terrano will be introduced with the arrival of the facelift of the compact SUV. The model will come equipped with the ZF sourced Automated Manual transmission (AMT), as seen on its sibling, the Duster.
The current generation Nissan Terrano
This AMT will come mated to the conventional 1.5-litre K9K diesel motor that is capable of producing 109 hp and 248 Nm of torque. The current generation Terrano is available only with a five speed manual transmission. Mechanically, the Duster can be had as an All Wheel Drive (AWD) variant but it remains unknown whether the Terrano would benefit from the same.
Expect the Terrano AMT to command a price tag similar to that of the Duster Easy-R-AMT that is available in the RxL and RxZ trims for Rs. 11.76 lakh and Rs. 12.97 lakh respectively. Stay tuned for more details! Meanwhile, let us know your expectations on the Terrano through the comments section below.
