Actor Alok Nath’s son booked for alleged drunk driving



Veteran television actor Alok Nath’s son Shivang Nath was recently booked for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. It is believed that Shivang was on his way home to his residence in Andheri after attending a party when the incident occurred.

The accused, who was accompanied by a few friends in his Ford Ecosport, was at the wheel when police officials requested him to stop the car during a check for drunk driving. Instead of stopping, Nath’s son increased the speed of his car and tried to flee from the spot. The police were involved in a chase where the car was later brought to a halt and the accused were taken to the Santacruz police station.

Shivang, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was booked for drunk driving, driving without a license and disobeying police orders. The vehicle in question was later impounded by the Bandra traffic police while Nath was asked to pay a fine of Rs. 2600. He was later let off on the condition that he would be present during the court proceedings that would follow. The next day, Shivang appeared before the court that let him off with a stern warning.

Speaking to the media recently, Shivang’s father, Alok Nath said, “I need to pass on some sanskar to my son. I am sure he will learn from his mistakes. Everyone is the same before law and I do not like distinguishing between celebs and the aam junta, but one wrong move by a star kid and it immediately comes under the spotlight — even blown out of proportion, at times.
