Upcoming Force MPV could be a Mercedes Vito derivative

Force-Mercedes-Vito-1

Speculations have been plentiful regarding the upcoming large MPV that Indian UV maker Force Motors has planned to launch in this fiscal. While the boffins at Pune based manufacturer have so far refrained from revealing many details about the upcoming vehicle, it has always been known that the above MPV could have deep ties with some Mercedes model.

Earlier spyshots suggested that the Force MPV could be a re-badged and stripped off version of the Force Viano, which is sold in many markets around the globe. However, a recent sighting of the Force MPV test mule has revealed that instead of the Viano based MPV, it could be a Vito derivative that is headed our way. The Vito is the successor of the Viano and has been fairly popular. The latest set of spy pics was taken in Bengaluru by Teambhp member Mr. Latheesh.

Powering the upcoming Force MPV might be a re-tuned 2.2 litre FMTECH diesel engine, the same motor that powers the Force One. The engine has a max power of 140 PS in Force One SUV. There also are good chances that the entry level variants of the upcoming MPV could be powered by Traveller’s 129 PS, 2.2 litre oil burner.
