Toyota fans seem to be having a great festive week ahead of the launch of the upcoming Fortuner. The Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer had only recently teased the 2016 edition of the popular SUV and now, the variant list of the model has been leaked on the web.

If reports are to be believed, the 2016 Fortuner will be available with diesel and petrol engines right from the day of the launch that is scheduled to take place on November 7. The 2.4-litre diesel engine would not be making it to the 2016 Fortuner and hence, the upcoming Fortuner will be available only with a 2.8-litre diesel engine and a 2.7-litre petrol engine.
The upcoming Toyota Fortuner will reportedly be available in 6 trim levels – 4×2 Petrol with Manual Transmission, 4×2 Petrol with Automatic Transmission, 4×2 Diesel with Manual Transmission, 4×2 Diesel with Automatic Transmission, 4×4 Diesel with Manual Transmission and 4×4 Diesel with Automatic Transmission. The report further added that the 4×2 models will be fitted with 17 inch wheels wrapped in All Terrain tyres while the 4×4 models will come equipped with 18 inch wheels wrapped in Highway Terrain tyres.

A few features on the new Toyota Fortuner include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, reverse camera, 7 inch touchscreen equipped T-Connect infotainment system, with satellite navigation, electrically adjustable driver seat, electric tail-gate, traction control system, Down-hill Assist Control (DAC) system cruise control and driving modes.
