The TVS Star City Plus is built on the same platform as that of the TVS Phoenix 125 and comes equipped with the same 110 cc engine that powers the Wego and Jupiter. For the City Plus though, the boffins at TVS have re-tuned the motor for more power and torque. The Star City Plus boasts of a max power of 8.3 hp @ 7,000 rpm and peak torque of 8.7 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The motor comes mated to a four speed gearbox, which sends power to the rear wheel.
The upcoming model will play the elder cousin to the TVS Star City, which also uses the same engine, produces 8.18 hp and 8.1 Nm of torque. Claimed fuel economy stands at 83.9 kmpl. The bike comes loaded with features like a semi digital speedo console, a stainless steel muffler guard, chrome finished handlebars, colored shock absorbers, electric start, alloy wheels, power/economy mode indicator, service indicator and a dual tone seat.
