With the launch of some exciting new products, TVS Motor Company has registered a growth of almost 5% because of the recent boost in sales. Product sales have increased drastically from 3,04,795 units in April 2018 to 3,18,937 units in the month of April 2019. With an increase in sales by 15%, the three-wheeler segment turned out to be TVS’ most profitable department.
In terms of two-wheeler sales, TVS registered a growth of around 4% with sales increasing from 2,93,418 units in April 2018 to 3,05,883 units in April 2019. While the domestic two-wheeler sales registered a growth of almost 3% from 2,41,604 units in April 2018 to 2,48,456 units in April 2019. Scooter sales of the company went up by about 9% from 89,245 units in April 2018 to 97,323 units in April 2019. The launch of the NTorq played a pivotal role in the increase of scooter sales. Motorcycle sales also grew by 9% with sales increasing from 1,31,704 units in April 2018 to 1,43,063 units in April 2019.
In terms of three-wheeler sales, the company grew by almost 15%, which meant that sales increased from 11,377 units in April 2018 to 13,104 units registered in April 2019. While exports grew by 13% from 61,798 units registered in the month of April 2018 to 69,565 units in April 2019. Two-wheeler exports grew by 11% increasing from 51,814 units in April 2018 to 57,377 units in April 2019. Exports turned out to be the second most profitable department in sales.
